At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- define children literature;
- explain the characteristics of children literature;
- distinguish between children literature and oral tradition;
- understand children’s imaginative literature: folk and fairy tales, realistic stories, poetry and drama;
- understanding other children programmes. Story hours, reading promotion, clubs, societies;
- electronic sources of children literature.

Definition of children literature, explanation of characteristics of children literature, distinguishing between children literature and oral tradition, understanding children’s imaginative literature: folk and fairy tales, realistic stories, poetry and drama, understanding other children programmes.
