From the HoD’s Desk

I welcome you to our Department, a department that is an off-shoot of the old Department of Teacher Education, a department that has been known for the production of highly qualified personnel for all the levels of education in Nigeria and beyond.  The Department took off with effect from the 2016/2017 session.  The vision and mission of the Department is indicated below:

To be a world-class institution for academic excellence geared towards meeting social needs.

Mission

Programme – The programme of the Department covers both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and it includes the following – English Language, Yoruba, Igbo, History, Theatre Arts, Christian Religious Knowledge, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Political Science, Economics, Geography etc.
