Prof. Benjamin Oluwasegun Ogundele is a Nigerian.  He holds the Bachelor of Education (Hons.) (B.Ed) in Physical and Health Education, Masters in Health Education (M.Ed) and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Education (Ph.D) all from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.  His area of specialisation is Health Education and Promotion.  He is a member of many professional bodies which include Nigerian Association of Physical, Health Education, Recreation and Dance (NAPHER S.D) Nigerian Association of Sports Medicine (NASSM) Nigeria Association of Health Teachers (NAHET).  Member, Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Board of Advisor, American Biographical Institute (ABI) and member International Council of Health, Physical Education Recreation, Sports and Dance (ICHPHER.SD) and Fellow of Nigeria School Health Association (FNSHA).  He is the current Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education.

Professor Ogundele has published over 65 publications both in chapter(s) in books and journal articles.  These were published in reputable outlets both locally and internationally.  He has supervised eighteen (18) Ph.D theses, over fifty (50) masters projects.  He has attended many conferences of his Association both locally and internationally and presented papers at these conferences.

Prof. Ogundele has won distinctions and honours which include Federal Government Scholarship, Merit awards by NAPHER.SD and NSHA, Baptist High School, Saki, Old Students Association and Gold Award for Distinguished Leadership in National Development (D’LINGA) by Cooperate and Media Africa Communication Ltd.

His current research areas are: Prevention Education, Human Sexuality Education, and Harmful Traditional Practices. 

His hobbies include: Sports and games, reading, singing, gospel activities.

He is married with children.  Prof. Ogundele is an ordained minister of God.
